Perubahan Status PAM Jaya untuk Tingkatkan Pelayanan Warga

PAM Jaya Status Change to Improve Community Services

Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Wa Ode Herlina supports the plan to change the status of PAM Jaya from a Regional Public Company (Perumda) to a Regional Limited Liability Company (Perseroda).

We must fully support this

She warmly welcomes the Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor's aim, which aims for all residents to have access to clean water by 2029.

"They have priorities on how to meet Jakarta residents' water needs. By 2029, 100 percent of Jakarta's area will have access to clean drinking water without discrimination," she expressed, Friday (8/22).

She emphasized that changing PAM Jaya's status to Perseroda is an important step to expand and improve services for residents.

"We must fully support this. Especially for the residents' interests, the water needs in 2029 must be met," he added.

She believes this new status will open investment opportunities for PAM Jaya.

"Don't rely solely on the City Budget (APBD), as its management must be smart and professional to meet the needs of the residents," she explained.

She added, they also target replacing the hundred-year-old old pipes from the Dutch colonial era to optimize water distribution.

Aside that, PAM Jaya's performance deserves appreciation, especially after two years of being directly managed by the local government without involving private partners.

"Their achievements are extraordinary. They have only been fully managed by the government since 2023, but the results are already visible. That's what we must support," she stated.
